All renters must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Proof of license is required at the time of vehicle pick up for all drivers. Only persons listed as drivers are allowed to drive the vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, will automatically void insurance coverage!! All persons must wear seat belts when camper is in motion for safety.
RATES AND PAYMENTS
Treasure Coast RV Adventures (TCRVA) requires full cash payment, or confirmed monies cleared through our bank, prior to departure. A security/damages deposit of $500 is due no later than 3 days prior to travel dates. If only booking for 2 night minimum, then full rental price must be paid at time of booking. If booking for longer than 2 nights, then we require payment of the 2 night minimum of the rental price at time of booking. This contractually secures your travel dates. Any remaining payments are due one week, no less than 3 days prior to first day of travel, because all monies must be confirmed, or cleared through the bank, prior to your departure. If the entire booking is done within 7 days of departure date, all funds must be paid immediately to give enough time for monies to clear the bank. If you have additional payment requests, please contact our office to discuss.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cancellations made 8 or more days prior to your departure date will receive a full refund of all monies. If cancellation is requested 7 days, or less, prior to your departure date, all payments will be refunded minus a 2 night minimum charge. This is because the rental unit is left with little time to be re-booked. If you must cancel, but would like to re-book your travel dates, we will allow a one time re-booking within a specified amount of time. If you cancel the 2nd booking, whether it is more than 8 days out or not, we will still retain the 2-night's rental monies.
We do understand that emergencies can happen, please contact us if one should arise prior to your departure date/time, to discuss a solution.
The security deposit covers any damage caused by the renter or renter's party. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning or penalty fees as stated by owner prior to rental. (I.E. Dump fee, retrieval, refueling costs, or excessive cleaning time/costs.) Interior damage, such as broken cabinets, fixtures, scratches or stains, awning damage, damage due to illegal activities of any kind, missing items that were provided at the beginning of the rental and/or towing and repairs due to renter's negligence not covered under insurance or roadside assistance, are also subject to forfeiting all or partial deposit. Excessive mileage over the agreed upon mileage included in the rental, or excessive generator hours over the agreed upon hourly usage, may also be deducted from the security deposit. If no faults are found with the RV upon its return that would delay the refund of your security deposit, you will receive your refund within 7-10 business days.
ON FILE CREDIT CARD
TCRVA requires a major valid credit card to be kept on file at the time of your departure. This will be held in a secure place and will not be accessible to any other parties except the owner/manager of TCRVA. The major credit card is used for costs of damage repair above the price of your deposit. It may also be used for costs that arise during your trip such as red-light camera tickets, speed traps, or things of that nature. We do not know that these costs have occurred until weeks, or sometimes months, later and the $500 deposit already returned. If any of these items were to arise, we will make every effort to contact the renter as well as draw up a separate invoice before charging the credit card.
These fees can be taken from the $500 security deposit, or from the credit card on file. Fees will not be charged until speaking with the renter prior, and a separate invoice is created.
Smoking of any kind is prohibited in any units rented through TCRVA. The cooking of seafood is prohibited in the RV units. Failure to comply in either of the above will result in a $150.00 fee, which will be used to have the RV professionally cleaned. There is also to be no storing of fish or seafood in the fridge or freezer unit, this is due to possible allergies of other renters. We want to keep you and others safe. If the RV is not clean, the renter will be charged a $75.00 cleaning fee. The renter is responsible for emptying holding tanks, with exception of the fresh water tank. If tanks are not 'dumped', there will be a $50 fee plus the price paid to dump the tanks. Gas and propane tanks must be returned at the level they were at time of pick up. If not, there will be a $50 fee plus the price per gallon on gas and/or propane.
MILEAGE AND GENERATOR
Mileage is limited to 200 miles per rental night included in rental price. Anything over that will be subject to a $.35 per mile fee. This does not apply to the rental of our travel trailer in which mileage is unlimited.
Generator use is free for 4 hours per rental night and is included in the rental price. After the 4 hours per night you will be charged $3.00 per hour. Please remember that the generator will not operate when RV fuel is at or below 1/4 of a tank full. The generator must be level to the ground to run and is not to be used while the unit is in motion.
The travel trailer does not include a generator, however, we can provide one with the unit for a nightly rate.
Towing is prohibited by any units provided by Treasure Coast RV Adventures. Commercial insurance does NOT provide coverage for anything towed behind our units. If there is any evidence of tampering with the hitch lock, the entirety of the security deposit will be forfeited to TCRVA.
TCRVA offers delivery and pickup of the RV including set up and break down plus dumping of the waste tanks for $2.00 per mile, according to google maps. For example, delivering and pick up of the RV to a campsite 50 miles away would cost $100. Although this does cover the refilling of the fuel used (gas and propane), it does not cover the price per gallon of either. Gas used for drop off and pick up is covered under the “per mile" charge, but fuel used while you have it is not. I.e. fuel used to run the generator while in your care or propane used for cooking.
Delivery and pick up for the travel trailer is free within 50 miles from our location. If destination is further than the 50 miles, you will be charged per mile over the initial 50 miles. If destination is 83 miles from our location, you will be charged for the 33 miles over the 50.
If the vehicle is involved in an accident, the renter must obtain a copy of the written police report and contact TCRVA immediately. The renter is financially responsible for any damage that occurs to the rental unit that is not covered by insurance. Negligence is not covered under insurance. The Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions is the governing contract. TCRVA is not responsible for any items stolen from the camper, so keep units and outside compartments locked. To avoid these situations, please respect and treat the RVs as if they were your own. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of your security deposit.
PICK UP AND RETURNS
Pickup and returns are to be between the hours of 9am and 7pm. Returns made after 7pm may be subject to a $25.00 per hour charge for every hour it is late. Upon pick up, please allow 60-90 minutes for orientation and paper work. TCRVA will try to be flexible with pickup and return times, but this can also depend on other reservations we have on file. If the RV is more than 24 hours late, and you have not contacted us, we will consider the RV stolen and report it to the police. The renter is responsible for all recovery and legal costs. A late return due to weather or poor planning is at renter's expense. Failure to return rented property or equipment upon expiration of the rental period and failure to pay all amounts due (including costs for damage to the property or equipment) are evidence of abandonment or refusal to redeliver the property, punishable in accordance with Fla. Stat. Ann. 812.155.
There is no additional charge for insurance. It is included in your rental price. However, Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is available to you through our insurance company at a charge of $14.95 per day should you want additional coverage. The SLI brings your liability coverage from State Minimums up to $1,000,000 bodily injury liability and up to $50,000 property damage liability on an excess basis. This extra coverage, should you decide to purchase it, must be purchased in advance online through MBA Insurance at www.mbasli.com.
We love our pets and know that at times they need to travel with you as they are a part of the family. If you are planning on traveling with your pet(s), please contact us. There is no additional pet fee.

Why take an RV vacation?

Renting allows you to try various types of RV units and learn what may work best for you and your families needs. Or perhaps you already know and love the RV lifestyle, but are not yet ready to purchase. Renting an RV is one of the best ways to enjoy the RV lifestyle without making a long term purchase commitment.
